Wonderland Events LTD started with a dream and a dash of Disney magic. As a family-run business based in consett, County Durham. we pride ourselves on bringing enchantment and unforgettable experiences to children's parties. Our approach is rooted in care, trust, and a personal touch, reflecting our commitment to creating magical moments for every child.

It was the quiet days after Christmas when I realised something was wrong. My husband came home looking weary, my daughter spoke less and less about her work, and I could see the spark in both of them flickering out. I wasn’t much better off myself, my job didn’t make me miserable, but the endless shifts left me running on fumes, and deep down I knew this wasn’t how I wanted the rest of my life to look.

Then came the moment, small, almost silly, that changed everything. I was scrolling on Etsy one evening when I saw it: a big blue alien costume that everyone adores(STITCH). I don’t know if it was instinct or madness, but I ordered it on the spot.

When it arrived, I couldn’t stop grinning. Something about it felt… full of possibility.

Then life did what life does best, it got in the way. The dream sort of sat on the shelf gathering dust. It honestly took a holiday to Benidorm (and a very firm kick up the bum from my best friend Alicia and yes, she demanded I put her in here 🤣) to get things moving again. Without her nagging, bossiness, and “no excuses” attitude, this business would probably still be just an idea I daydreamed about.

After Anthony worked his magic putting a business plan together (I knew there was a reason I married him 😉), here we are, fur, fabric, inflatable castles, and all,  living out an adventure that once felt impossible. Any money left after the bills got funnelled straight back into our growing menagerie of characters, a bouncy castle, and lots more. Basically, Alicia is the bossy fairy godmother of this whole thing… and I’ll never hear the end of it 😍🥳
